Ultra fast 1Ghz Phones

Toshiba TG01 phone is expected to be first phone running on 1Ghz processor, and will have amazing display resolution of 800*480 (2.5 times more than iPhone's 320x480). Other great features expected are :
  • 4.1 inch display (compared to 3 inch of iPhone; iphone is looking tiny)
  • Superthin thickness of just 9.9 mm thin (compared to 12.3 mm of iPhone)
  • powered by ultra-fast 1GHz processor from Qualcomm
  • G-sensor (tilt sensor) with shaking gestures
  • Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with full Flash support included
  • other features: GPS, HSDPA and HSUPA, etc etc

Close on the heels is expected 1Ghz phones from HTC.

Looks like 2009 will such many such phones in the market, and this should bring superfast computing to mobile phones.

I am great believer of mobile phones as convergent devices, and that is happening!!
